Britney Is Halloween 2026's Hottest Costume, and Celebrities Can't Get Enough
It's Halloween, and if there's one look the celebrities agreed on this year, it's early-2000s Britney Spears. At least three famous names have already gone full Britney, and the rest of the costume roundup is just as fun to scroll through.
Snooki and her friend Joey Camasta recreated Britney and Justin Timberlake's iconic matching denim outfits from the 2001 American Music Awards. Model Winnie Harlow did a Britney look complete with choreography from one of her music videos. And Paris Hilton went Britney earlier in the week, recreating the "I'm a Slave 4 U" performance from the 2001 VMAs, snake and all, before switching gears for an Addams Family group costume with her husband Carter Reum, and their kids. Paris was Morticia, of course.
Northwest is having a big costume season too. She dressed as Baddies star Natalie Nunn, who returned the favor by dressing as North, and then North turned up as Edward Scissorhands with bladed fingers and a leather straitjacket-style dress. Her mom, Kim Kardashian, dressed as North herself.
Some of the best costumes were in-jokes. Kerry Washington went as Jane Fonda in her home workout era, leg warmers included, captioning it "Jane Fonda, but make it Black." Lily Allen wore a white bodysuit and puffer covered in coloured dots, a dig at Ticketmaster seat maps and "blue dot fever". Chloe Bailey did a "hot" version of Meg Griffin from Family Guy. Janelle Monáe went as Carrie White for a screening of the original Carrie, who turns 50 this year.
And the night's not over. Heidi Klum, the undisputed queen of Halloween, has only teased her costume so far, so expect the internet to lose it again tonight.
Who nailed it this year, and is anyone ever topping Heidi Klum?
